We don't know who you are.
And we don't want to. Travel sites are built to watch you: cookies, tracking pixels, "only 2 seats left" pressure, prices that creep up because you searched twice. FaresFair does none of it.
The promise
- The same price for everyone. Nothing about you goes into a price. Not your device, your location, your history or how often you've searched.
- No cookies, no tracking pixels, no ad networks. Nothing follows you around the web from here.
- No account. There's nothing to sign up for.
- We never sell or share data about you. We don't have any to sell.
Exactly what happens to what you give us
- A search sends the airports, dates and number of passengers to our fare supplier, Duffel, which asks the airlines. Nothing about you goes with it, so an airline can't tailor the fare to you. The answer is kept for 30 minutes so the next person searching the same trip gets it free.
- The options you tick (bags, seat and so on) are remembered on your own device, in your browser. They never reach us.
- To stop one person using up the live searches, we keep a scrambled version of your internet address, never the address itself, for a few minutes. Then it deletes itself.
- A price alert keeps your email address and the trip, used only to send that alert. Stop the alert, or let the flight leave, and the address is deleted with it.
- Visitor counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying anyone.
- Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (like every website's) for a short time to keep the site running.
The browser extension
- It only runs on Google Flights, and on a page where you highlight a price and choose "Check the real price".
- It sends the airline, the airports, the price and the number of stops to faresfair.com.au, and nothing else: no cookies, no page address, no browsing history.
- It can't read your other tabs or your history, and it stores nothing. You can see every line of it; it's tiny.
If any of this changes
It'll change here first, in plain words. If FaresFair ever earns money from a booking, that money will never change the price you see or the order fares are shown in. How the prices work.
