- Asiana's economy fares include one 23 kg checked bag between Australia and Korea. An extra bag at the airport costs USD140 (about A$200) from Sydney or KRW140,000 (about A$151) from Seoul (ozExcess)
- Buying the extra bag online more than 24 hours out saves 10% (USD126, about A$180, from Sydney), but only on nonstop trips: Asiana won't pre-sell it if you're connecting (ozPrepaid)
- Asiana doesn't publish its fare types, or change and refund fees, for tickets bought in Australia: check the fare rules before you pay (ozTickets)
- Not turning up costs a USD160 (about A$228) economy no-show fee, or USD500 if you check in and then don't board (ozTickets)
- Asiana merges into Korean Air on 17 December 2026: flights from then on carry Korean Air (KE) flight numbers and existing bookings move across automatically, keeping the same booking reference (ozIntegration)
