- Tickets issued since 1 September 2026 get two 23 kg bags on international flights instead of 30 kg in total, but a bag over 23 kg costs a USD52.50 (about A$75) Heavy Bag fee at the airport between Australia and Indonesia, and it can't be prepaid (gaBaggage)
- An extra bag bought at the airport costs about 40% more than prepaying it online by 6 hours before departure: about A$150 instead of A$107 each way between Australia and Indonesia (gaBaggage)
- Connecting through Jakarta or Bali to a third country moves extra bags to the dearer Rest of the World rate, about A$142 prepaid or A$199 at the airport (gaBaggage)
