- Every Korean Air economy fare between Australia and Asia or Europe includes just one 23 kg checked bag, even Flex. A second bag costs USD130 (about A$186) from Australia and KRW130,000 (about A$140) from Seoul, and each onward flight from Seoul adds its own charge (keExcess)
- Saver and Standard tickets in the cheapest booking class (T) pay to pick even a standard seat: USD50 (about A$71) per flight from Australia. Other Saver and Standard classes, and all Flex fares, choose free (keFares)
- Changes and refunds cost a fee on Saver, Standard and most Flex fares (only full-fare Y is free), but Korean Air doesn't publish the amounts for trips from Australia: check the fare rules before you pay (keFares)
- Not turning up costs an economy no-show fee of KRW100,000 (about A$108) on top of any change or refund fee (keNoShow)
- Korean Air and Asiana merge on 17 December 2026: from then, Asiana's Sydney-Seoul flights fly under Korean Air (KE) flight numbers, and existing Asiana bookings move across automatically (keIntegration)
