- Economy Lite can't be changed or refunded at all, and you pay to pick even a standard seat (about A$28 each way to Singapore) unless you wait for free selection at check-in 48 hours out (sqFareFamilies)
- Value, Standard and Flexi all charge a cancellation and a no-show fee, but SQ doesn't publish the amounts: you only see them in the fare rules when booking (sqFareFamilies)
- Extra baggage is sold per kilo, and leaving it to the last 6 hours or the airport costs about a third more than buying it online more than 48 hours out (sqExtraBags)
- Seat fees are charged per flight, so a trip to Tokyo or Bangkok via Singapore pays twice each way (sqSeatFees)
